Six of us this week and we split into two groups with Mark K, Nige and I trying Friedemann Friese's latest Friday experiment, Copycat. This is a mash-up of mechanisms stolen from Dominion, Through the Ages and Agricola and it works pretty well. However, we all felt it went on too long at about two hours. Mark K got a nice card cycling engine going whereas I tried to concentrate on point scoring offices and cards. We all thought Mark had it easily wrapped up going into the last round but found his and my scores tied at 71 each. However, the tiebreak went in favour of the person scoring more points in the final round, giving Mark the win. Good game but would like to see if we could get the playing time down by at least half an hour.
