Game played: Ice Cream ( Face to Face Games ) BGG Id: 12829

We finished off with this new card game designed by American gamer, Joe Huber, and published by Face To Face. The idea of the game is to score victory points by supplying customers with their choice of differing flavoured ice cream cones.

The game is played over a set number of rounds and at the start of each round a number of cones are constructed containing up to four scoops of differing flavoured ice cream. Players take turns adding a new scoop either to an existing cone or a new one until all the scoops for the round have been used. Then players take turns either supplying the ice cream for one of the cones (customers) from their stock of ice cream tubs, or drawing a new tub of ice cream for use later on. Once all the cones have been supplied, scoring takes place, based on the number of scoops you were able to supply. After the last round, whoever has the highest total of points is the winner.

In our game, I got off to a good start in the first two rounds but then got pegged back in the third. Luckily, I managed to hang on in the final round to register my first win in quite a while. We all thought this game was ok with some things to think about in trying to help your position or hinder others, but there are lots of similar little card games and there wasn't much in this game to set it apart from all the rest. However, it was a decent enough game.
