Eight of us again this week and five of us started with Cinque Terre (or the Five Villages), designed by Chris Handy and released by Rio Grande. This was reminiscent of Ticket to Ride in that you are collecting cards and cashing those in to place stuff on the board, while also trying to achieve certain objective cards. Unfortunately, I misread a rule that we only spotted about gaining bonus objective cards, which meant the game took much longer than it should have. However, with the correction, I think this will play very nicely as an alternative to Ticket to Ride. Although misplayed, our game was pretty close but Julia was able to complete an extra objective on the final turn of the game to push her out ahead of Mark K and me.
