There were seven of us this week and my group of four started with Flash Point: Fire Rescue. This is a co-operative game, somewhat akin to Pandemic, but rather than fighting the spread of disease on a global scale, this game is about rescuing victims from a spreading fire before the building becomes too damaged and the roof collapses. We played the standard version and were fortunate in that victims kept appearing in virtually the same places. Between us, we were able to keep the fire pretty well controlled and rescued the seven victims required for the win without too much trouble. We even decided to try and rescue the remaining three potential victims, which we also achieved, although it has to be said that we were fortunate when rolling the dice for spreading the fire that the results tended to be away from where the heart of the fire was. Good fun but we'll need to ratchet up the difficulty next time with the experienced rules and trying the board that only has two outside doors rather than four.
